Theresa “T.J.” Johnston has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry.  Currently co-founder and COO of Solstice Innovations TJ specializes in the use of technology to promote accuracy, compliance, and efficiency by implementing and utilizing streamlined workflow management processes in all functional areas of insurance operations.

 

Prior to co-founding Solstice Innovations, TJ was COO and a Co-Founder of Torrent Technologies. TJ provided executive oversight of all insurance operations at Torrent Technologies and was central to implementing the business and technical rules that enabled Torrent to become the largest vender in the flood insurance industry today.

 

Before co-founding Torrent Technologies, TJ served as the COO of National Flood Services where she worked with 84 different Write Your Own Companies and also oversaw all aspects NFS’s insurance operations.

 

TJ has served in virtually all roles of the insurance industry, including holding Property and Casualty Licenses in all 50 states, and being approved to teach flood insurance CEU courses in all 50 states.  TJ has served on industry related panels and organizations, including as President of the National Flood Association (NFA) and as a subcommittee member on FEMA’s Technical Mapping Advisory Council (TMAC).
